Previously within Level 2 of the In-Class Mathematics Worksheet Series there were FIVE resources covering the Mathematics in the New Zealand Curriculum strands of Number, Measurement, Geometry, Algebra and Statistics. However the strands have been combined: Number & Algebra, Geometry & Measurement and Statistics. The RS2 Level D Lessons continue to build on the meaning and properties of multiplication and division, along with the basic facts. Other topics include multiplying a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number, rounding, numbers to millions, area and measurement in both the US 5/5.

For example, Level A (RS2) teaches addition and subtraction facts thro place value up to the thousands, mental addition, fractional units up to 1/10, telling time to the half hour, money (pennies, nickels, and dimes), measurement in both inches and centimeters, and geometry concepts such as cubes, cylinders, parallel lines, and. The pace almost guarantees success. Children should work a "few" pages a day; assignments should take about 20 minutes to complete. Pages are marked with the skill level required at top and the points each question is valued at (a very young child will need some help totaling points). Very short instruction (or an example) is given on a few pages.

From this measurement, a level value can be inferred and is usually calibrated in a linear measurement, such as feet or inches, and the level is. In this Chapter we shall discuss the measurement of distances, areas, volumes and their applications. We shall then learn about the measurement of angles, the relationship between different types of angles, the classification of plane figures and similar triangles.
